The Internal Revenue Service granted the Connecticut Hemophilia Society, Inc. tax exempt status pursuant to Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) on July 13, 2010, retroactive to its formation February 17, 2010. Accordingly, CHS is now a public charity.
Contributions to CHS are tax deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. CHS is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
