The Connecticut Hemophilia Society was pleased to host the 7th Annual Katzman Family Snowshoe Walk on March 19, 2011!
The weekend was full of fun, food and friends. The weather was perfect for a scenic snowshoe walk through the woods at Stratton Mountain Resort. Over 150 people enjoyed Saturday night dinner. The night was filled with music from Peter Miles, magic by Bill Hoagland and wildlife courtesy of the Vermont Institute of Science. The silent auction was packed with great items such as an autographed NFL hockey jersey, weekend getaways, spa services and more!
Thanks to everyone that helped make this event such a huge success.

Shotgun Start at 7:30 a.m.The Harty Foundation held its annual golf outing on May 16, 2011 to raise money to help find a cure for (4) diseases: Hemophilia, Diabetes, Mitochondrial Disease, and Leukemia.
Thank you to The Harty Foundation and all those who attended this year. We are grateful to have been selected as one of the organizations benefiting from this annual fundraiser.

Well we froze our buts off and got rained on for 12 innings, but the Rox did just that...they ROCKED the Newark Bears, 5-4 and we had a blast watching them! Buddy even endured the weather to catch the game. Thanks to all of you who joined CHS for this amazing event! CHS raised funds through ticket sales and uniform auction that goes directly back into our community. Stay tuned......more baseball to come!

CHS Named Beneficiary of Lenny and Joe's Charity Carousel

Thank you to all of you that joined us for a spin on the Magical Charity Carousel. The carousel is a joint charitable venture of the Madison and Westbrook Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tales. They have raised $605,000.00 over the past 11 Seasons!. We were proud to have been chosen to as a beneficiary this June.

2nd Annual Lake Compounce Picnic

Thanks to all of our supporters at the 2nd Annual CHS Lake Compounce Picnic! The event was attended by 200 members of our community, friends and family! It was a perfect day for an amusement park. I enjoyed seeing everyone having such a great time, eating at the amazing B-B-Q, getting soaked on Thunder Rapids and even braving Boulderdash!
I especially enjoyed watching the kids faces light up when Buddy came to visit. Please share your favorite pictures on our Facebook site. I hope you all had a wonderful time. I'm already looking forward to 2012! A special shout out to Mandy for being our committe chair and heading up this event! AWESOME!

Many came out to experience the wonders of Camp during the HITWGC's Fall Family Weekends! There was fun for the whole family andcamp activities (campfire, fishing, arts & crafts, music, theater, dancing, climbing tower, and many more new adventures) for all to enjoy!<

CHS' First Annual Meeting

CHS' first annual meeting was held at the Marriott Harftord, Downtown. The day was filled with very knowledgeable speakers and information as well as some fabulous food and entertainment (a wedding!). Not to mention the beautiful fall flower arrangements from Ruth L Flowers.
Visiting the vendors always proves successful. Baubles that would always come in handy were given out with a wealth of information about home care companies, factor product and The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp.
The kids had a blast at the Connecticut Science Center where they paired up with older kids that either had hemophilia or were affected by it in some capacity or another. Later we were treated to dinner and Katie Kelly singing "Think of Me" from the Phantom of The Opera with ease and grace. A great group of people are part of this community. This is what it is all about.
